72 Hours Survival Course

1. Mission Statement

The Jungle Survival Academy, Bhandavgarh aims at imparting most authentic, exciting and extreme experience of jungle craft and survival skills while developing a sense of responsibility towards natural ecosystem and its preservation. Apart from learning to benefit from nature, this course will instill extreme survival confidence and also develop team building and leadership skills in the participants.

2. Conduct

The course is run by highly trained Special Forces instructors along with local jungle specialists.

10:00 -12:30 h.

Reception, orientation, do’s and don’ts, light lunch and packing up Camp Tala.

13:00-16:00 h

Basic survival lesson 1 – Trek to Camp Alfa.

16:00–19:00 h

Jungle Craft Training Session 1 – using the environment for making a secure night shelter and hammock using twine and hemp and safety measures against wild life.

Jungle Craft Training Session 2 – building a fire.

20:00-21:00 h

Dinner with lesson on night navigation by stars.

21:30 h

Fires out, participant to sleep in self created shelters.

05:00 – 06:30 h

Wake up bugle, morning tea, basic hygiene and ready for the day.

06:30 – 08:30 h

Jungle Craft Training Session 3 – Finding Food and water from nature.

09:00-13:00 h

Basic survival session 2 – trek to Camp Half Bravo with light pack snacks, forage for food and cook lunch.

14:00- 19:00 h

Basic survival session 3 – navigate your way to Camp Bravo, make a shelter, build a fire and cook a dinner from ingredients provided/foraged from jungle.

20:00 – 21:30 h

Camp games and pot luck dinner around Camp Fire.

Fire out.

Wake up bugle, morning tea, basic hygiene and ready for the day.

Jungle Craft Training Session 4 – navigation by compass and first aid.

08:00-08:30 h

Breakfast and preparation for mov to Camp Bagdara.

08:30-11:00 h

Basic survival session 4 – navigate your way to Camp Midway.

11:30 – 14:00 h

Jungle Craft Training Session 5 – making raft, machans, water crossing or rappelling expedients using nature.

14:30 – 17:30 h

Basic Survival session 5- Speed march to Base Camp including Water Crossing or Rappelling, Team Competition.

18:00 – 19:00 h

Unarmed combat for self defence.

20:00 h

Campfire and Bada khana, Feedback and self analysis session.

Breakfast.

The following kit will be issued to participants by the Academy for use for the duration of the course:

As you would expect, the Jungle Survival Academy is challenging both mentally and physically. So, in order to get the most out of the course, applicants should be fit and healthy.
